Writing Articles - The Pros and the Cons
Articles Detailing the Pro and Con Aspects of Something Get Read
Pro and Con Articles: Your readers really like reading the pros and cons of relevant research you've done in your niche. So why not give it to them in your next set of 400-500 word articles you write.
The Pros and Cons Article Template
- Opening Paragraph(s): Introduce your argument with 1-2 paragraphs max.
- Create a Sub-heading for Pros: Provide at lest 3-4 pros and try using bullet points to present your list. It will make your article easier to read.
- Create Cons Sub-heading: Provide a minimum of 3-4 cons and again, try using bullet points to disply your list of cons.
- Closing Paragraph/Conclusion: Wrap up your article by describing your position and why.
- Resource Box - This, of course, is where you shamelessly plug your website or product. Hopefully you've earned this right by giving your reader good, useful, and factual info in an easy-to-read manner.
Food for Thought: All too often articles are written that only debate the merits of the article writer's position (not that there's anything wrong with that). But by also representing the counter-arguments, it shows the author is able to see the big picture and can actually improve the authors credibility. At the very least, article writers should acknowledge the counter-arguments that DO exist (even if they don't agree with them).
